Celebrating our 10th Aniversary!

On Saturday October 5th, Amatsiko Preparatory School will be celebrating our 10th Anniversary. Ten years ago we began with a few students, eager to learn, in a space that had once been an old factory. After ten years of hard work and dedication, we now have over 400 students, 16 teachers and improved facilities! We are super excited to celebrate with song and dance as our students, families, graduates and community members gather to celebrate all that we have accomplished together! Please join us by livestream! Link will be posted soon.

Meet Our Students

Our students come from hardship and severe poverty, growing up in families where basic necessities like food, clean water, clothing, and proper shelter are luxuries. Most of our students’ families survive on less than $1 a day, typically with six to eight children per family. About 50% of our children are orphans, having lost both parents, and another 20% are from single parent families struggling to survive.

An Amatsiko Education

Amatsiko Preparatory School is more than a school, it is a sanctuary, supported by local churches and community leaders, as well as international partners. Our mission is to provide a nurturing environment combined with high-quality education.

“We believe every child is born with incredible potential— At Amatsiko, our job is to nurture that potential.”

— Alex Atuheire, Executive Director
